I cant work this out!

This is to adjust volume of incoming audio samples by just multiplying by a constant value (SW). I wanted to be able to control the volume value with the switches on the DE2 but i get no sound at all...

Looking at your design, SW8-16 will probably be set to 0.

Because of your truncation, the maximum audio gain you can get is just less than 1, and thats when all switches are set to 1. Are you setting all switches to 1? Is your input big enough in the first place?
