How to active my float license

Hello, I my trying to use the license recently. I have created a sever by using the modified license. I changed the host name of the license to be my laptop's host name, and the NIC ID to be my Ethernet adapter's physical address. Now I have a server on by using Lmtools, what's the next step I should do. I go to the License Setup option, and put the license location to the License file part. But it still tells me that I am in Evaluation mode. Please help me. Thanks in advance.

    From what you describe it sounds like you are editing your license file. Is that right?

    If so - it will not work. If you have a new machine, with a different NIC ID to that specified in the license file, you will need a new license file generating. It will not work "using the modified license."
