Help choosing a simulator

Hello, I need help choosing a FPGA simulator. I want to be able to use System Verilog Assertions. Can anyone give me a list of requirments that can help me choose a simulator? Thanks, joe

Hello Joe, Active HDL is a great tool. Personally I like it much due to the reason that its not vendor specific. Its feel and look is great. The license fee might be little higher compared to any other tools. For example for vhdl only simulator you may have to pay around 500 dollers/year(for full Lattice suite inluding ispLEVER and other tools). For mixed language simulator license price you will be surprised . Please have a check at the license distributor or at on-line store. Active HDL also supports SVA.
