Handle ctrl-c and other signals OSless

Hello,

I'm new in the NIOS/Altera world ...

I want to create a function that handles signals (like ctrl-c) but for some reason I can't (it works in linux ...) .

I'm using the NIOS OS less (maybe I must use uC for signals ?).

we are two students - I'm responsible to the s/w part , my friend is responsible to the h/w part, so I have little understanding in h/w...
