General Rant.. Cyclone V/Arria V/Stratix V naming convention

Ok.. Sorry for this, it's really not a question, but a general rant at Altera's wisdom in changing it's naming convention.. I don't do this often, and I'm not trying to start a flame war, just stat...

So do you want to know the real reason for this change ... the part numbers were getting so long that they could no longer be printed on the package. It started with Stratix IV where you could no longer determine the package type. Now you really can't tell anything about the part from the part number without a secret decoder ring. Sigh.
