From Dev Kit to Production

Well let's say I implemented the NiOS core on the FPGA; as long as its in he kit, I can play around with it but if I want to build an embedded system around it, then I need to design a board level circuit around it; that's the kind of thing I'm wondering about; how do I know what info I need to incorporate it into my design. I have the student version of the DE-2 kit and didn't come with any circuit diagrams or CAD files. Where can I download these?
