Hi,
We are using EP3C16E144C8N FPGA in our product, we are replacing it with EP3C16E144I7N. But none of the datasheet explains about "7".
C8 is replaced with I7.
C8 is commercial, 8 is not def...

Please refer the below screen shot from https://www.intel.com/content/dam/www/programmable/us/en/pdfs/literature/hb/cyc3/cyclone3_handbook.pdf?wapkw=cyclone%20III#page=24
C - Commercial Temperature grade
I - Industrial Temperature grade
6 - Fastest speed grade of the FPGA
7 - Slower than 6
8 - Slowest
Speed grade means that the FPGA with 6 can work at faster clock frequencies than 7 and 8.

Do you suggest EP3C16E144I7N is a replacement for EP3C16E144C8N or any other IC, we dont want have any hardware change and have pin to pin compatibility.
Thanks & Regards,
M.Ramanan.
