Regular ContributorIf you go on any distributor website and check availability of Altera/Intel FPGA/CPLD devices you won't find any real difference from Xilinx. None in stock, 6+ month lead times. Pretty much across the board all semiconductor devices are severely supply constrained.
For Spartan 6, an Intel/Altera Cyclone IV or V is probably the closest equivalent.
