FLashing EPC1 device using quartus programmer

Hi,

Is its possible to flash an EPC1 device with .pof file using quartus programmer?

Regards

  • HI intfpga2,

What FvM has stated is indeed true. From the EPC1 Datasheet:

"Programming support with Altera’s Master Programming Unit (MPU) and programming hardware from Data I/O, BP Microsystems, and other manufacturers"

Else, easier with JTAG programmable EPC2.

    Hi,
you need old "Altera Master Programming Unit (MPU)" or more likely a third party parallel programmer supporting EPC1.

Simpler to switch to JTAG programmable EPC2 etc.

      Hi,

you mean Max-plus 11 tool, or the third party tools like Elnec?

As said Altera MPU or third party. I guess you don't have access to MPU, so third party is your option. Several Elnec devices are supporting EPC1 according to web site.
