Honored ContributorTake a look at the collateral for the Nios II 2c35 development kit (http://http://www.altera.com/products/devkits/altera/kit-nios-2c35.html), which has a very similar flash.
I think you need to be connecting the BYTE signal and dropping the two least significant address bits. Cheers, - Ura
