Error with Legacy License Generator

Question

I keep getting an error trying to generate a legacy license for quartus. I am following an old textbook, which uses Quartus II 7.1 and would really like to work with this particular version.

This is the URL I am trying to use to generate a legacy license.

It takes my Mac address and asks for an email. Then, gives this (not very helpful) error:

[h=2]Altera Software Subscription Licenses[/h]Sorry. There were errors encountered during the license generation.

Any help would be much appreciated. I tried contacting support but have not had a resolution yet.

Nevermind. I found a different link and that worked for my purpose (quartus ii 7.1). Here is the link if others run into this:  https://www.altera.com/f/download/licensing/lic-q2web.html
