Intel has advised against using the EP3C80F484C6N for new designs. What is the status of this chipset? When will it be withdrawn from production.
There is some movement inside Intel to stop manufacturing certain FPGAs specially the ones made with 60nm processes - Cyclone 10 GX devices included.
For example: Mouser electronics warns that Cyclone 10 devices might be on the chopping block - 10CX220YF780E5G for example is not available and Mouser advises checking with Intel before including this device in a new design.
New designs require 1-2 years to develop. It will be very helpful to know what device will be available in 2-years, before starting a new design.
