What are the differences between EP20K200EFC484-3(N) and EP20K200EFC484-2(N) ? We're having some EoL issues for "-3" MPN, and we're wondering if we can use some faster FPGAs "-2" suffix as replacement. Would a program written for "-3" work on the faster variant "-2" ?

Thank you for contacting Intel Community. To know the difference between the EP20K200EFC484-3(N) and
EP20K200EFC484-2(N) is the speed grade. For details, kindly refer to the APEX 20K datasheet:

Next, please be noted that APEX 20K device families were obsolete since 2017 according to PDN1619.

There are limited support on the obsolete part.

  From what I saw, there is no big difference in speed of -2 compared to -3.
  
  If the source files for FPGA programming were done for -3 speed variant, do you think the same source files will work on -2 chip, without further programming adjustments?
