Discrete I/O issue

I'm seeing something very strange. I'm working in debug mode and i'm stepping through some simple discrete signal enable commands. After I step over about 2-3 lines after an enable command, the discrete turns back off! I do not have a watchdog timer. I have an IRQ timer that is full featured, which runs every ~ second. I'm not sure what it could be. It doesn't matter what piece of code I move over, it just keeps happening. Any ideas?
