Digital Combination Lock... Anybody done one??

Howdy,

I'm working on a Digital Combination lock using the Cyclone II board. Anybody out there done anything like that??

I need to use three, four-digit numbers.

I believe I need to hard-code a combination that will need to be compared to the combination 'attempt'. I need to use the Hex display to read either "Open" or "Errr" depending on the result of the comparison.
