DE1 board to PC communication

Anyone knows how to communicate the de1 board to PC ?? for example: I need to send a data from my pc to de1 board, and make maybe a logic operation (or something), and after, receive the result data ...

How about simply using a serial interface and a flip-flop to make your logic operating？：）
