Honored ContributorCyclone IV E Gigabit Ethernet Connection
A part that our company is designing currently has the Cyclone IV E FPGA in it. I want to know if it is possible to hook it up to a phy to get gigabit ethernet access like the Cyclone IV GX offers. If this is possible, what is involved in setting up this Gigabit Ethernet connection? Thanks.

Altera_ForumCyclone IV E can use GMII or RGMII interfaces to the PHY. See the DE2-115 board for an example. It's fairly commonly used.
