Cyclone III -> Cyclone II ERROR!

Hi Guys!

I am trying to do a simple i2c communication with an temperature sensor from the DE0 (Cyclone III). It works perfectly.

However, now that I am trying to port it to the DE2/DE1, it doesn't work! I get screwy results, such as if I map my reset signal to KEY[3], it works, but it doesn't work when I map it to KEY[1].

I tried to analyze the signals in signaltap as well, but I get weird errors such as an unstable clock (which was stable on the DE0).

Has anyone ever encountered these kinds of errors before? I'm not sure if its a timing issue, because I don't operate at very high speeds. I use the default 50 MHz clock and 20KHz for i2c communication.
