CPRI on stratix IV GT board

I got reply form Altera feedback, it seems that the GT device just can not use this CPRI core although some low level functions are good.Is that a kind business strategy or do having technical problems?:cool:

The CPRI MegaCore Function User Guide states that the CPRI IP core does not support Stratix IV GT devices: the Device Support table clearly states that the IP core provides Stratix IV device family support only for Stratix IV GX devices. However, as you found, the Quartus II software does not prevent you from generating an IP core variation that targets such a device.
