You also need to install the service pack for NIOS II EDS, which can be found at https://www.altera.com/support/software/download/nios2/dnl-nios2.jsp. Don't use the download button but the link below wich says "download service pack". Thats a bit tricky. Filename is 91sp2_nios2eds_windows.exe, which is 13 MB. Good luck, Ton
