Compare and generate PWM

I need help on method to compare 3 of 8bit and generate PWM according to the output. I tired search method to do thru VHDL and find non of it. Hope anyone can help me. I am doing my project using Altera De2-70 board.

    You'll find some previous threads related to PWM generation. But I don't understand how "compare 3 of 8 bit" should be related to PWM.
