Honored ContributorYou can try to click the green "play" arrow while your main C-file is active (I normally go that way) or try from the menu "run" -> "run_configurations" there select "NIOS Hardware" and create new by right click. When you then go into this new configuration there is the tab "target connection".

Honored ContributorI encoutered the problem after installed Windows 7 32, too.
Using the method as follows, I solved this problem. 1. Open C:\Altera\91\nios2eds\bin; 2. Change the eclipse-nios2.exe compatibility mode to Windows Vista SP2 or low version, illustrated as the picture attached.
