Cheers for the reply - I actually just finished downloading and using a different image! Seems to me that the image is incorrect/corrupted - hopefully just as a result of the download/uncompressing? Otherwise it suggests that there is a problem with their cd image - a bit of a nasty curve ball when starting out!
