Greetings to All,
In the course of repairing 2 boards, one of the EPM7064LC68 (PLCC) was found to be defective. So the solution is to copy the other good chip and program a new chip. I have a Xeltek Superpro but this programmer doesn't support the Altera chip. This is my first time to deal with this CPLD. I've read the Altera Programming Hardware (dspghd.pdf) and it seems that this CPLD belongs to the MAX 7000 family. Would like to ask for your opinions if besides the Altera MPU (with the appropriate adapter), are there new programmers that can copy an existing chip and program a blank one. Also, is the copying and programming as straight forward as an Eprom or PAL? Thanks in advance for your help.
