Arria 10 SERDES with Global Clock

Question

Is it possible to drive a SERDES with a global clock (clock was not routed to a dedicated clock pin)? If so, how to do it? Promote to global clock pin in project file, then run through an IO_PLL, ALTCLKCTRL, or straight into SERDES? Just getting fitter errors...

For  Arria 10, the clock which not coming from dedicated clock pin will give fitter error , it is highly recommend you to give through a dedicated clock pin
