SRAM is never used for FPGA configuration, it's used e.g. as data or program memory of NIOS II processor, or other user defined purposes.
Hello,
We purchased the Development Kit “Cyclone III F780 Development Kit” and Altera Cyclone® II Starter EP2C20 development borad (EP2C20F484C7N). There are SRAM chips in both kits. Are these SRAM chips used for the FPGA configuration? What are these SRAM chips for in the previous 2 kits used? Thanks & BRSRAM is never used for FPGA configuration, it's used e.g. as data or program memory of NIOS II processor, or other user defined purposes.
