ALTERA FPGA Cyclone IV series

Hi there
I have two questions related to use of FPGA inside a Digital to Analog Coverter (DAC) and it’s impact on sound reproduction
A) When a firmware is released to rewire the logic gates of the FPGA - what does it do to improve overall audio performance?
B) Does burn in of a FPGA after release for few hours have impact on overall sound quality when a music source is streamed via external devices into the DAC?

    Hi,


    FPGA cannot influence audio performance and sound quality. Can you give some detail of your need according to sound quality. Voltage regulator stability and SNR may matter.

    And, does 'burn in' means programming or configuration?
