Agilex 7 - Incorrect Device ID in Programmer
I have an device with the substrate marked as a A5EC065BB23AE6S which matched the PN ordered.
But in the programmer, the device is reporting as a A5EC065AB23AE6S which has the VID option. VID means the device expects to communicate with a DCDC that support for I2C Power Management which my board hardware does not support.
Has anyone experienced this same issues and if yes is it:
- an issues with the wrong die being mounted to the substrate.
- or Quartus Prime Pro (QPP) Programmer incorrectly identified the correct device.
I have tried QPP 26.1 and the latest 26.1.1 and both report the same device.
If this die is indeed a A5EC065AB23AE6S with the VID, is there a way to program the correct JIC into the board (i.e. bypass the FPGA device check implemented by the programmer).
FYI : The board accepts and run with a SOF built for a A5EC065BB23AE6S (i.e. the device the board was designed for).
Screen shots below of what device ID itself as to the Programmer(left) and of the Device (right).
Thanks Eric
