With USB-Blaster, It works on Quartuss II for Program/Verify, but with USB-Blaster II, it does not work due to an error message "cannot recognize Silicon ID for Device 1"

Thank you John for your comment.

I did not change TCK frequency yet. and device is MAX V.

Still worth trying to change Freq to 16Mhz?

    Thank you

    Hi,

Please change it to 6Mhz which is the same frequency as USB-Blaster I.

      Hi

Intel FPGA Download Cable II User Guide is referring to "Quartus Prime" but I installed "Quartus II" not prime.

      1. Open the command line interface with the Intel Quartus Prime bin directory in your path (for example, C:\<Intel Quartus Prime installed folder> \<Intel Quartus Prime version>\quartus\bin64).

      2. Type the following command to change the TCK frequency:

will it be same for Quartuss II?

will it be possible to talk to you on the phone?

      Thank you.

    Hi,

Yes, both is possible. You can also just download the Quartus Prime and do it using the GUI.

    Thank you John.

if you don't, could you please advise step by step for instruction? I already installed Prime.

I am not sure what the command line interface with the Intel Quartus Prime bin directory is and cable number.

and cable has to be connected?

    Thank you

    Hi,

If your PC has already set the environment then you should be able to directly performed "jtagconfig --setparam 1 JtagClock 6M" in the terminal or command prompt. This is assume you are only connecting 1 blaster.
