The DE4/Stratix IV Dev kit only have 38 or 36 LVDS pairs. You gain transceivers but loose ADC channels per board.

Yeah, I see; clk+17-bits RX per HSMC.

I guess the DE3 has a couple of extra HSMC connectors you can use.
