udhcpc failing when booting Cyclone V SoC

I am a new FPGA user, and am having a bit of difficulty working through the My First HPS and HPS-FPGA tutorials for the DE0-nano-SoC kit. When I go to call udhcpc to obtain the IP address, it loops Sending Discover. I'm not sure if this is a problem with the image (hopefully not given it was supplied with the device), or another underlying issue. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

    Hi Chris,

    From the tutorial, have you tried booting Linux? Was it working when you tried it?

    This is to make sure that the image is working properly. Then we can debug from there.
