jtag id issue

Hi all,

When I'm tyring to program Stratix10 Tx development kit, it failed with following error message:

Error(18941): Can't configure device. Expected JTAG ID code 0xC323D0DD for device 1, but found JTAG ID code 0x020A40DD. Make sure the location of the target device on the circuit board matches the device's location in the device chain in the Chain Description File (.cdf).

So I tried to check the JTAG connection, it looks okay. Could you please let me know how to handle with this issue?

Best Regards,

Junyong

    Hi,
you are apparently directing the Stratix .sof file to MAX10. As the message tells, edit chain description.

Or modify dev board DIP switches and take MAX10 out of JTAG chain.

      Thank you FvM,

The issue I addressed was resolved.

Unfortunately, I have another issue during programming.

So could you please let me know how to handle with the following issue?

Error(18948): Error message received from device: Device is in configuration state.
Error(18950): Device has stopped receiving configuration data

      Best Regards,

  • Hi,

Make sure the JTAG communication cable(s) are securely connected to the target system and are set to use a JTAG TCK frequency that is supported by all the devices in the JTAG chain and the target system, and the correct device is selected. Then retry the operation.

    Regards,

    Aiman
