How to connect four DE2-115 boards?

Hello, I have four DE2-115 boards. I want to connect all my boards. What interface is best for me? GPIO? 1000Mbit/s Ethernet? HSMC? I need your suggestion. Thanks.

I would recommend GigE since you could setup a multi-endpoint system with an ethernet switch easily. I am currently in the situation to design a core for basic ethernet interfaceing the marvel chip, so I'd be interested in a discussion regarding this idea. (I also want to link more than one board in the near future).
