DE3 IOV core

Hi,

The DE3 system builder generates a module named 'IOV_A3V3_B1V8_C3V3_D3V3' that appears to control voltages available on the HSTC connectors. Is this accurate? I can't seem to find any documentation on the proprietary IP core or how it is used/useful. My DE3 seems to run fine without the module instantiated, so why bother to keep it if I'm not using GPIO or offboard connectors?

Anyone know what this module does?

To update: I'm now using a current monitor and can't see any difference between a Nios II/f based system with and without this IOV module instantiated. Next step is to contact Terasic, I suppose.
