i was compiling an AHDL code for flex 6000 (EPF6016ATC100-3) FPGA, and I got an error as " Configuration device EPC2 cannot configure device EPF6016AT00 ".
Please let me know why this error is coming and how to solve it (if i can use the same device, will be helpful )

You're getting error because an EPC2 device cannot configure FLEX 6000 devices.
For configuration device that support FLEX 6000 devices refer to Table 2 - Page 2

By changing the Device and pin option in Assignments -> Device and changing the configuration to EPC1, which is available in Flex 6000, the same source file got compiled.
