CLKUSR pin of Cyclone10

Hi,

I am using 2 transceiver channels of Cylcone 10. I have connected the CLKUSR pin to GND in my design. Is it a must to connect external clock to CLKUSR pin for the functionality of Transceiver section. I am operating at very low speed, around 1Gbps.

    Hi Bhagavath,

    Yes, as per pin connection

    This pin is used as the clock for transceiver calibration and is a mandatory requirement when using transceivers.

      Thanks for your response.

      As I am not in a position to re-spin the PCB, please let me know if there is any option to use transceivers with CLKUSR pin connected to GND.

    Hi Bhagavath,

    No, We've to use CLKUSR pin with an oscillator for transceivers.

    Refer Transceiver PHY User Guide & pin connection guideline for more information.
