Arria 10 SoC Development Kit: Serial Lite II Example Design and Documentation

I am working with an Arria 10 SoC development kit that is talking to an existing 3rd party design. The 3rd party device uses Serial Lite II. From other forum posts, I have come to the conclusion compatibility requires use of Serial Lite II IP on the Arria 10 SoC Dev kit too but cannot access this IP in Quartus. The Serial Lite II datasheet indicates I need to request the IP, examples, guideline and special license to use the IP on an Arria 10 device.

From page 4 of the Serial Lite II user guide:

Note: Intel Arria 10 devices are indirectly supported by the SerialLite II IP core

version 15.0 and later. If your design needs to implement SerialLite II

interface in Intel Arria 10 devices, contact your local Intel representative

or file a Service Request (SR) to obtain a design example, a guideline

document, and a special license to enable the Intel Quartus® Prime

software to generate the FPGA configuration file (.sof) for the Intel Arria

10 devices.

Can I please get the "design example, a guideline document, and a special license to enable the Intel Quartus® Prime software to generate the FPGA configuration file (.sof) for the Intel Arria 10 devices"

Thank you.

    Hi,

I understand that you want to evaluate SerialLite II IP and need example design for it. As you know, it requires a special license to be generated for which we have to contact our marketing team. They will need your company and contact details to evaluate and your machines NIC ID for license generation. All this might take good amount of time.

However, I just wanted to check if you have evaluated our Serial Lite III Streaming or Packet IP or Interlaken IP. Possible to use them?

A bunch of IP are supported for 20nm (Arria 10) devices which you may find from the following link:

I wish that was an option. However, we need to interface into an existing device that outputs Serial Lite II. From my research, it appears that Serial Lite II is not compatible with Serial Lite III - which is why we need Serial Lite II.

Hello - can we move this forward? I do not want to publish the info requested publicly, is there a private channel to pass the company name, NIC info, etc? Thank you.

    Hi,

As the license file has been provided to you for your machine, I am setting the case to closure. However, it will still be open for other community members to comment on. Please feel free to open a new case, if you need more support.
