Are people still using CPLD?

I do not see current posts concerning CPLDs. Everything seems to be FPGAs. Should I just skip CPLDs. If not, which development board should I start learning with?

Thanks very much for the information. My confusion with the MAX 10 boards is they all talk about FPGA and not CPLD. Can you explain?
