Are people still using CPLD?

I do not see current posts concerning CPLDs. Everything seems to be FPGAs. Should I just skip CPLDs. If not, which development board should I start learning with?

Of course my dear friend. CPLD is useful to be the controller system due to its fast boot up capability.

I would suggest you to get MAX 10 Development Kit from us and start with your CPLD journey. Enjoy.
