Intel PAC card down when Insert QSFP+ breakcable

Hello Sir/Madam,

I am using Intel PAC Arria10gx , we bought a fiberstoreQSFP+ BREAKOUT cable from https://www.fs.com/au/products/40332.html.

The issue was when we plug the QSFP+ module into Intel PAC ,the server restsart and I have noticed there was a red light in turning on.

is that cable compatable with Intel QSFP+ interface?

thanks

jim

    Hi JohnT

    Thanks for your reply.

the diffcult thing was we counld not get intel cable from local intel distributor Breamac ,it was too slow.

that was why we turn to other brand, which been claimed compatable with intel product.

    thanks

    Hi,

The cable that you are using is shorter than we tested. It should be working but just not validated.

May I know if you plug it in before power up? May I know which red light is turning on?

    Hi JohnT,

When I plug QSFP+ cable ,the server was power on and running good.

the red ligh is on the PAC card , which I could see from the gap near to QSFP,but not sure what light that one was.

    thanks

    jim

    Hi,

You can expect both 3meter and 1 meter is the same as it has been verified on the Arria 10 PAC card. Please try with the verified cable mention in our user guide.
