Re: Questa Compile error vcom-212 Stack hard limit
Hello Syafieq, I am sorry, I did not understand your last message, I don't know from where you got this impression that we can't see it. What I replied in my last message was that we tried your solution of setting environment variable by using the command you sent which was; running the following command before starting Questa e.g.: export VCOM_STACK_SIZE=134217728 Once again, we ran this command, and ran the Questa and tried compiling a model, but still were getting the same error.2.7KViews0likes0CommentsQuartus and Questa support of LMADMIN Flexnet software
Hi, Kindly can someone please specify that if we can use LMADMIN flexnet software with Intel FPGA software products i.e. Quartus and Questa. This would require daemon that supports lmadmin instead of lmgrd. If yes then can the link be shared from where I can get it and also the compatible version with lmadmin version 11.19.x. Thanks, Umar980Views0likes2CommentsRe: Questa Compile error vcom-212 Stack hard limit
Hi, We have tried the above mentioned solution of setting environment variable and can confirm that unfortunately this does not work and we still have the same issue and are unable to run any modelling simulation in Questa. Hi We have installed Intel Quartus 23.4 with all of dependencies and modules on RHEL 8.7. When we run Questa and try to compile a model we are getting an error message stating Error (suppressible): (vcom-212) Stack hard limit 67108864 < 67108864 Contact your system administrator to set the hard limit above this value I have checked the current stack limit on our server is 64MB (65536KB). We have faced the same issue on RHEL7 box with Questa version 22. Is there a minimum limit for hard stack for carrying out the compilation of models within Questa from version 22 and onwards? If yes can you please tell us that bottom limit and point me to that documentation as well that contains that information. Hi, We are trying to work out which version of Intel Quartus Standard and Lite are supported with RHEL 8.7. According to Software Operating System (OS) Support Information | Intel , there is no version listed that is supported with RHEL 8.7. Can any one please confirm if there is any or which is recommended? Thanks Umar849Views0likes3CommentsRe: Supported RHEL version for Quartus
Hi @RichardTanSY_Altera , Thank you for the reply, Yes I can see in the attached picture that for version 23.1 is listed as supported version with multiple versions of RHEL but my question is still there that what about the previous versions of Quartus. I have also found in the documentation on 2.3. Software Requirements (intel.com) under Software requirement it says in Table 1 for OS as Red Hat Enterprise Linux 7 and 8 and lists the RPM packages required for them. It does not specify any specific version of RHEL 7 or 8. I have attached a screen shot of that here so please can you check it again and then confirm as what you are telling me is I know from that table in the previously attached picture but what this documentation is saying is different. Thank you, Regards, Umar2.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Supported RHEL version for Quartus
@RichardTanSY_Altera unfortunately we cannot use Quartus Pro version 23.1 for all and that is due to backward compatibility issue with some of the previously deployed application and its integration. That was the reason I did ask that the versions shown in the attached picture are for that particular version of RHEL or other versions of RHEL are compatible as well. If you can answer that question then it will be great. Thanks Umar2.8KViews0likes0Comments
