ContributionsMost RecentMost LikesSolutionsRe: Cyclone 10GX PCIe Hard IP bring up Hi, I have a new design using the Cyclone 10GX 10CX105YF672 part. I am trying to get my PCIe Hard IP running. I am concerned that I may have connected to the wrong transceiver pins. I am creating a Gen2 1X PCIe interface. I connected the PCIE-TX to U26/U25 pins and I connect the PCIE-RX T23/T24. I connected the PCIE_REFCLK to U22/U21. I am not able to see the clock in signal tap coming out the coreclkout_hip signal at all. I'm concerned that I should have used a different clock pair of pins (pins N22/N21). If I am right that I am on the wrong clock pins, is there a way to share clock pins within the PCIe Hard IP Tool? Thanks Re: Problem with Dongle working with Quartus 18.1 i'm sorry that I didn't reply but I am new to the INTEL support system. I'm an OLD Altera user and I was used to the old system. Yes, I have tried all 3 USB ports with no success. I still see the warning against the SafePort in the USB section of Device Manager. Glenn Problem with Dongle working with Quartus 18.1 Hello, I have been using my USB dongle for 18 years across many different computers. I just purchased a DELL Inspiron 15 3000 and the USB dongle isn't being recognized either in Device Manager or in Quartus 18.1. I am using the same driver that comes with Quartus 18.1 that I use on my other 2 DELL laptops that have no issue recognizing the dongle. In Device Manager sthe is an exclamation warning for the SafeNet USB SuperPro/UltraPro that it is not working correctly. When I go to Driver in Device Manager the date of the driver is 12/10/2012 and the version is 7.5.8.0 which is the same that I see on my other working laptops. The General screen in Device Manager for the SafeNet USB is showing an error that Windows10 is reporting. The laptop is running Windows10 Pro Version 10.0.19042 Build 19042 with an i7-1165G7 processor. I appreciate any help in getting this computer working with Quartus. I see that when I choose the Viterbi IP from the DSP/Error Detection and Correction section, it is generated using Qsys.Chee, Thank you for your answer. I was not able to work on this subject today. I will try your suggestion tomorrow and get back with you. I greatly appreciate your prompt reply. Best regards, Glenn Rosenthal Ulyssix Technologies, Inc. I am not running an Avalon bus internal. I see that when I choose the Viterbi IP from the DSP/Error Detection and Correction section, it is generated using Qsys.Chee, Thank you for the information. I followed your instructions and I worked with Steve Zack this morning who is a Arrow/Intel FAE for my territory. He helped me understand that I wanted to use the Viterbi IP in Continuous Mode, so I have changed the IP setup. I have built a ModelSim project to try to simulate the IP and I am still having issues. I don’t see in the ug_viterbi-compiler.pdf document exactly how to run in continuous mode. On page 35 and 36 are the only timing diagrams but they are not for continuous mode. I have setup my ModelSim test bench and here is my waveform output showing that the logic flow with decbit, source_val and decbit being undefined. [cid:image003.png@01D5DB78.CBFF1CB0] My first question is will I be able to simulate the Viterbi IP in ModelSim. If so, what files do I need to include. I have 2 questions: Can I directly connect to this IP and not use an Avalon Bus interface Can I simulate this core in ModelSiim
