Failed to launch NIOSV Command Shell. Getting (0xc0000142) application error.
Hello, I'm having trouble with the Nios V Command Shell; specifically, I cannot start the shell (niosv-shell.exe) or the RiscFree IDE. Sometimes the program starts, and sometimes it does not. Operating system: Windows 10 19045.5737 version 22H2. Tool: Quartus Prime Pro 23.4 I'm getting an application error 0xc0000142: I've already reinstalled the Quartus tool a few times. have installed Intel Quartus Prime 22.1 Lite Edition along with the Nios II Software Build Tools for Eclipse. However, the Nios II IDE is not functioning properly. When I try to open the IDE, the Eclipse IDE does not display its proper name, and the tool icon shows as a generic Windows icon instead of the usual Eclipse icon. Additionally, I am unable to debug the project created within the IDE; the "Suspend" and "Terminate" buttons are non-functional. Nios II requires WSL 1 with the Ubuntu 18.04 distribution, which is already installed on my system. Could you please help me resolve this issue? I recently upgraded Nios II from version 16.0 to 18.0 and encountered an issue with my project. After the upgrade, I received the following alarm message: "The project description file (.project) for 'xxxx(My project name)' is missing. This file contains important information about the project. The project will not function properly until this file is restored." Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue? Furthermore, I would also like to inquire about the installer for Quartus 16.0. If you could provide information on where to download it or confirm its availability, I would greatly appreciate it.
'New Nios II Application and BSP from template' Freezing and Unresponsiveness in Eclipse
I have created a Nios II Qsys project in Quartus Std 23.1, and I'm encountering two different issues with Eclipse. 1. When I try to use 'New Nios II Application and BSP from template,' there is no response at all. The action seems to have no effect. 2. On rare occasions, when I do get the 'New Nios II Application and BSP from template' wizard to open and move to the next step, after selecting the .sopcinfo file from my project, the interface freezes and does not proceed further. Could you please help identify the potential causes of these issues and suggest a solution?
RiscFree v25.1.1 no longer finds BSP and compiler headers files when editing
A fresh project imported into RiscFree v25.1.1 never resolves the header from the BSP or compiler while editing. For example: This means that autocomplete of functions does not work. It works in RiscFree v23.4.1. I have tried using the new "Import Nios V CMake project ..." and directly importing it myself with the same result. In RiscFree v23.4.1 under "Project > Properties > C/C++ General > Preprocessor Include Paths" all the paths to the BSP and compiler headers have been discovered: Working in v23.4.1. The same screen in RiscFree v25.1.1 shows none of the headers. Its like the CMake integration is not working. Broken in v25.1.1. Both of these screens is viewed after I have compiled the project successfully. It seems like the CMake integration in RiscFree v25.1.1 is not working correctly. Is this a bug or have I missed some configuration step?

Is the license completely free or is it free for a period of one year and then must the perpetual one be purchased? I am trying to follow this Guide to install SoC EDS https://www.rocketboards.org/foswiki/Documentation/SoCEDS#Install_SoC_EDS_AN1. However when I click the download button I get the following error I have tried different web browsers different computers and different networks and i always get the same result.
SoC EDS Command Shell not running
Good afternoon, I am trying to use the SoC EDS Command Shell software to use the HPS on the DE1-SoC Rev G card. However, when I try to run it (normally or as administrator) the program does not run. How can I get the program to run properly?
