Why has the MegaWizard Plug-In Manager failed to launch?

Description

Due to a problem in Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Software version 17.0,  the following error message will be displayed when launching the DDR3 SDRAM Controller with UniPHY Intel® FPGA IP.

Failed to launch MegaWizard Plugin Manager: DDR3 SDRAM Controller with UniPHY 17.0 could not be found in the specified library paths.

Resolution

A patch is available to fix this problem for the Intel® Quartus® Prime Standard Software version 17.0.2.

Download and install Patch 2.02 from the appropriate link below.
