Why does releasing i_rx_rst_n cause the link partner's PCS to unlock with F-Tile Ethernet Hard IP?

Description

When the “Link Fault Generation” parameter is set to “Bidirectional” on the F-Tile Ethernet IP,  asserting and de-asserting “rx_reset”  can cause the link partner’s PCS to unlock.

Resolution

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
