Why do I get "ERROR: Detected x mismatches - stopping" during simulation using the Siemens* ModelSim* Simulator?

Description

Due to a problem in the Siemens* ModelSim* Simulator v2021.2 and earlier, you may observe this error when simulating the Native Fixed-Point DSP Stratix® 10 FPGA IP Core if you run the "msim_setup.tcl" simulation script and use the "elab" option.

Resolution

To work around this problem use the "elab_debug" option or use “vsim -voptargs=+acc $elabcommand”.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future release of the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software.
