Why am I seeing an error “read Ethernet ANLT channel 0 register anlt_ltstat_csr6” or link training failure during hardware testing when using F-tile Dynamic Reconfiguration Suite IP with Auto-negotiation and Link Training (AN/LT) enabled?

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.3, you may see an error during hardware testing when using the F-Tile Dynamic Reconfiguration Suite IP with Auto-negotiation and Link Training (AN/LT) enabled, and if user logic is enabled.

The error may look like below: 

 

Resolution

For a workaround, follow the steps below: 

1. )  Navigate to “../[example design]/hardware_test_design/hwtest/tests/ftile_eth_dr_test.tcl”  
2. )  Search for “Setting sequencer reset” code

• a)    For FGT designs, comment line #386 as shown below: 
  
• b)    For FHT designs, modify line #386 as shown below: 
  

This problem is fixed beginning with the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition software version 24.3.1.
