Error(11176): Error opening <path_to_ip>

Description

Due to a problem in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.1,  you might see this error when the Quartus® Global IP Search Path was set in version 23.4. This remains set when using version 24.1, pointing to the wrong installation path.

Resolution

To work around this problem, open the Platform Designer in the Quartus® Prime Pro Edition Software version 24.1 and click on Tools > Options > IP Search Path. In the field "Quartus® Global IP Search Path," enter the path to the Quartus® 24.1 installation directory.
