Error: Cannot find sequencer.elf

Description

When using Windows 10 and generating the Intel® Stratix® IV UniPHY DDR2 IP in the Intel Quartus® Prime Platform Designer, you may see a similar error as shown below.

Error: Cannot find sequencer.elf

This error may be due to a conflict when the Windows Subsystem for Linux is enabled in Windows 10.

Resolution

In the Windows Control Panel > Programs > Programs And Features > Turn Windows features on or off,  unselect the parameter : Windows Subsystem for Linux.

Reboot the PC, open the Intel Quartus Prime project and regenerate the UniPHY DDR2 IP.

This problem is scheduled to be fixed in a future version of the Intel Quartus Prime software.
