Win7 (64bit) can't intstall byteblasterII LPT driver

Hi,

I am using Win7 (64bit) with Quartus II 9.0 for CPLD programming. Also, I use a LPT port.

when install byteblasterII LPT driver, I use command line to install, then ocours following error: "can't start byteblaster service". Is there any technical limitation in Quartus on win7 LPT ?

    yes ，it was always happen in my computer。 someone said that WIN7 64bit does not support byteblasterII，i don‘t know whether he is right or not....

    Hi,

    I got the feedback from Altera. It was caused by OS 64 bit can't support ByteBlaster cables. So you need Win7 OS 32 bit with Quartus, and I tryed with OK.
